MacArthur Museum Education Booklet

The education program at the MacArthur Museum provides a focus for students on the historical significance of the years 1942 to 1944 and the successful allied coalition of Australians and Americans who served together.

The Museum has produced a booklet with interactive items designed to stimulate students interest in the era and prepare the students for a visit to the Museum.
The booklet can be printed by schools and used as a teaching aid before, during and after a visit to the Museum.

Booklet Printing Instructions

The booklet has sixteen A5 pages and is produced using four A4 pages printed both sides and then folding them in half.

To print the booklet you will need to have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.

There are eight pages in the file and to print them correctly you should proceed as follows:

1. Print pages 1, 3, 5 and 7 (use “pages 1-8” and “odd pages only” if this option is available on your printer) on A4 paper in landscape mode. When removing the pages from the printer, note whether the “top” of the page is to the left or right.

2. Print pages 2, 4, 6 and 8 (use “even pages only” if available) on the reverse of pages 1, 3, 5 and 7 respectively. When inserting these pages into your printer, make sure that the “top” of the already printed side is on the same side as in step 1 and that the pages are stacked so that they print in the order 1,3 5 and 7.

3. Assemble the booklet with pages in numerical sequence, fold in half and staple along the fold line, with the book open.
